Character applied next to shrine. Finished scene.

Here is a render of my environment. It is suppose to be a plain landscape, also going for the simple look, yet cartoony with the bright colours. Looking at the Dragon Quest 8 in-game screenshots helped inspire me. Initially the scene didn't look that cartoony, but then i increased the ambience, which helped make it look brighter.

I didn't like the sky in these ones. I thought i'd show these renders anyway to compre with the final one with changed sky.



This is the final version, with a better sky texture. Definitely looks better then the oter sky.
Final renders of my character. Used a downloaded toon light to make the model look cel shaded. I think it turned out pretty good.




WIP screenshots i did earlier. I had the 'use no lights' option on.





Here are some renders i tried earlier using Maya Vector render. The problem with this is that the texture for the eyes didn't show up. Other then that it looked good and i liked the automatic thin black outline it generated.
