Did some softening/hardening with the normals, plus added the sword and scabbard to the model. Still got to add creases on the clothing for more detail and then delete some other detailed parts. Then onto texturing!





Played with some lighting here, just to see what it looks like.

Here is a model of a sword for my character. It's a Samurai sword, since he is suppose to be a modern day Samurai. Done the sword and scabbard seperatly, but the sword can fit inside.

Sculpting in Zbrush2 for the first time

I was planning on doing Games Design today, but that didn't appeal to me, so i decided to try out Zbrush. I loved the sculpting tools, even though at times it was tricky and frustrating when i didn't know what to do.

I sculpted it from a sphere, that's why it may look a too round. It may not look right, in terms of proportions because i didn't use a proper reference.


Here i turned it into a polygon mesh and then used 'Divide' to add more subdivions and making it more smooth looking. Added more detail here as well.


The start of my actual model for 3D. This will be the one that i will hand in. The characte is a modern day samurai. I've already blocked out the main body and also done the trousers, inner body armour and jacket.



Finished practise model. I'll texture it later, when i have time.
